So today was better again. Not amazing by any stretch. But better.
2.5km on the run at a very slow 7:21 pace. But, thats definitely a little quicker without thinking than the last few days. I felt strong enough that I could continue on, but the leg definitely was saying “hey man, like, is this 100% necessary?”.
Ive still got an issue there, but im a tiny bit more confident every day that it’s getting better not worse, even with continued running. I just need to ensure I keep rolling that leg out on the foam roller, it does seem to help. And it’s no where near as painful as it was a few days ago.
The Running Gear
Ran in the new 2XU shorts today. They are super soft, really great fit. They are a little thicker than the Asics 5″ shorts ive been wearing. I wonder how that will play on a hot day. But it’s raining and muggy today, no issues at all. Do love the fit though, so far, I recommend them.
Again with the ASICS Superblast. Just no choice right now. I could probably throw the Novablast 4 on actually for some plush-ness under foot. But the Superblast are feeling more and more in-tune with my feet as each run passes. The real challenge is going to be NOT buying a pair of the new colour ways releasing in March, and holding out for the Superblast 2, which I read is out around May/June.
So slight progress again, but it’s definitely a frustrating time. But perhaps, the rest my body was trying to tell me I needed?
