Almost back to full strength

I think this first “injury phase” is almost complete! Whilst I’m not getting ahead of myself, my runs have clearly been advancing without any real effort off the back of the dodgy hamstring.

Today was a really solid run all things considered.

  • 6km, technically 7+
  • 5:49 minute pace for the first 6
  • 6:08 pace for another little 1km spurt near the end
  • 8.83km total
  • Asics Superblast

I really didnt put in any effort here, again, just heading out on a slow pace to ensure we dont hurt ourselves again.

Cruised along really well. Could have gone past 6km, but decided to stick to the plan. Im getting wiser by the day!

The Superblast were a great companion today. Im really feeling like this is the max stack shoe for me. Plenty of padding, but still firm. I guess everyone’s feet are different, but I do enjoy the firmer ride and feel like I always have.

Really considering jumping in on the Adidas Adios Pro 3 this week. Reading great things about it, and hear that it too is a firm but responsive long run ride under foot.

All in all, a good weekend of running. Tomorrow, im going to sick to the new plan of making monday a light minimum workout day. Let’s see how that goes!
